I am moving all my hosting accounts to new servers on Thursday 14th November.

I am moving all my hosting accounts to new servers on Thursday 14th November. This follows increasing disruptions to the service offered to me, and hence to you by Heart Internet. Their level of service is no longer acceptable and I am moving all my clients hosting accounts to Smart Hosting, part of Krystal, one of the best hosting companies in the country. All the sites have already been moved so all your content and emails are already on the new server. On Thursday morning I will start changing the DNS of the domain names so that the sites will become live on the new server. Timing is not exact, DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours but is usually much quicker. It is likely that emails and WordPress and similar sites using a MySql database will function correctly and need little or no ‘tweaking’. FTP settings will be different and I will be emailing these settings individually. I will also be sending out the new Control Panel details. Sellerdeck customers will no longer have to ‘unlock’ the ftp but network settings will need changing. Catalog URL and CGI-BIN URL remain the same. The server host is 77.72.0.110, username and pssword will be sent to you. Path from cgi-bin to the online store folder becomes ../acatalog/ Path to the cgi-bin becomes /public_html/cgi-bin/ The password is also the Control Panel password so if you need to reset email passwords you can do this at https://www.mydominname.co.uk/cpanel – see image below. The generic logins for your control panel are: https://neon.cloudhosting.co.uk:2083 for cPanel – and https://neon.cloudhosting.co.uk:2087 for WHM Sellerdeck customers should suspend ordering Thursday morning (Business settings/ordering) and upload so as not to lose orders. Once the DNS has propagated you should refresh your Sellerdeck store. I am sorry for any inconvenience but this situation was not of my making. I am however able to make it better by moving you to the excellent servers at Smart. If you have any questions please email or call. When you log into https://www.mydominname.co.uk/cpanel this is what you see. You can ignore pretty well everything but the email area is circled and this is where you can change passwords and create accounts.

 

A note about email setup on your device

Your Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server are both mail.[domain], where you replace [domain] with your domain name.
So, for example, if your name is Jane and your domain name is thisismydomain.com:
User Name: jane@thisismydomain.com
Password: password33
Incoming Mail Server: mail.thisismydomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.thisismydomain.com

“I hold my domain names at the registrar of my choice”

If your domain names are held by you at the registrar of your choice I am not able to make the DNS Nameserver change for you. 

Please log in to your domain name control panel and look for DNS Nameservers and change them to:

ns1.cloudhosting.co.uk
ns2.cloudhosting.co.uk

The propagation may take up to 24 hours.

If the external IP address of your server changed when you moved servers then you’ll need to log in to your SagePay account and add the new IP address to the list of valid IPs: https://live.sagepay.com/mysagepay/settings.msp
