Twenty three hours after Sellerdeck sent out the email advising of the PSD2 and 3D Secure Version 2 they have sent a further email saying the introduction has been postponed for eighteen months.
Sellerdck have announced that within the last 24 hours there has been an announcement from the FCA regarding PSD2, SCA and 3D Secure version 2.
The deadline of September 14th 2019 has been postponed for 18 months.
There is no longer a requirement to investigate whether your Payment Service Provider is or isn’t 3D Secure version 2 compatible.
With this change, Sellerdeck say they will be reviewing their position and engaging with its Payment Service Provider partners again.
The current position of the FCA and payment industry lacks definition, once Sellerdeck have an update from their Payment Service Providers they will share relevant information, but for now and in the near future there is no action that needs to be taken.
